My Story

Mama Knots Macramé was founded by me, Lauren Sanders, in January 2023. I'm a wife and a mama of two boys, living in South Louisiana, USA. Since I discovered macramé, I have been knotting and creating with an immense amount of love and passion, and I aspire to share my craft with everyone that I can reach in hopes that it'll bring you just as much joy as I found in creating it.

When the days are long, when the to-do list is longer, and I grow weary from all the tasks required of me as a parent, mama knots. When I'm anxious, sad, scattered, or feeling unfulfilled, mama knots. When I'm having a bad mental health day and everything feels overwhelming, mama knots.

Making my crafts is what centers and calms me. It gives me an identity and a purpose besides being a mom. It gives me not only a hobby, but it gives me peace and serenity.
